H2-Ready Checklist
Existing gas power plants may be evaluated to assess their readiness to operate with hydrogen – either pure hydrogen or alternatively a blend of natural gas with a 25% volume share of hydrogen. Such evaluation needs to take place on a case-by-case basis as these have been built based on a unique set of specifications agreed between operator and technology provider.
A checklist for retrofitting turbine-based gas power plants is under preparation. Stay tuned!
The gas turbine industry is currently developing a checklist to provide basic guidance on the components that should be considered when foreseeing a switch from natural gas to a blend of 25% hydrogen or an operation with close to 100% hydrogen.
