Climate Policy
The EU is set to become the first climate-neutral economy by 2050 – following the path laid out in the European 2030 Climate Target Plan and the European Green Deal. In a collective effort, all economic sectors need to swiftly adapt and drastically reduce their greenhouse gas emissions, starting with the energy sector.
Future-proof solutions such as renewable-based turbines
cannot be ignored in the path towards climate-neutrality.
The turbine industry supports the decarbonisation of the energy sector thanks to its use of renewable energy sources – such as renewable gases and heat – and the provision of highly efficient technologies, not only for power but also for combined power and heat generation. EU climate policies cannot ignore the benefits of future-proof solutions such as the turbine technology, which are essential to achieve a well-functioning energy system in a future climate-neutral economy.
