EUTurbines Response to the Public Consultation on the Energy Efficiency Framework for the Decade Ahead

EUTurbines’ response stresses the importance of flexibility solutions, sector integration and renewable gases in a future EU energy system with high shares of renewables.
We underline the need for a system‑level approach to energy efficiency, recognising electrification’s role while also underlining the importance of renewable gases, system flexibility and sector integration across electricity, gas and heat.
Persistent barriers such as financing, regulatory complexity and market conditions have limited uptake. A more coherent, flexible and streamlined post‑2030 framework – better aligned across EU legislation and reducing administrative burdens – would support the deployment of efficient, flexible and integrated energy solutions across power and heat.
