Public Consultation on the revision of the network code on requirements for grid connection of generators

In its response to the European Commission’s public consultation, EUTurbines highlights the role of turbine-based power generation technologies in supporting power system stability and identifies several provisions in the draft Delegated Regulation that risk creating disproportionate technical and implementation challenges requirements.

The paper sets out eleven recommendations covering issues related to efficiency, frequency stability, certification requirements, island operation, modernisation projects and transitional arrangements, with the objective of ensuring technically feasible, proportionate and technology-neutral grid connection requirements.
