Electricity Market Design: Nuanced Welcome from Flexible Generation Manufacturers

On the European Commission proposal to review the electricity market rules, turbine and engine power plant manufacturers, represented by EUTurbines and EUGINE, share their appreciate for the added value of the proposals, aiming at making the system more resilient against future supply shocks.
We support the efforts for a fast growth of renewable generation and welcome the understanding that this requires additional flexibility assets, but regret seeing that long-term flexibility solutions and security of supply were neglected.
